Just finished installing the BHR midpipe with DS cat. Combined with the Rev8 single tip exhaust, it has just the sound I was looking for. Pretty quiet and deep at idle, sounds nice and aggressive under load, and no drone at any speed (under 80 anyway).

Might just get rid of the radio now.

Feels a little freer north of 6K, but of course that is completely subjective.

No CEL, but I do have the DS cat welded into the midpipe. Cutting the video now. Have it up in a bit, but keep in mind that video does not equal in person.

The video wont load for me for some reason, even left it for ~30 mins. All your other ones on youtube load but not this one.

From what I have heard in other videos though the racing beat exhaust sounds very good with a midpipe. I really need to find someone local with the RB rev8 exhaust so I can actually hear it.

 

i have the rb twin tips and race pipe and header.

 

What mid pipe do you have, is it also racing beat or is it BHR like the OP. I have the agency power mid pipe and it sounds a little ricey at certain rpm's, but I was told the RB rev8 catback would solve that. Hearing a rx8 with a header would be pretty nice as well.

 

dose dual vs quad tip make much difference to the sound on the RB systems?

 

rb race pipe non resonated , well all mid pipes sound the same unless u get the resonated mid pipe.

 

well yeah but isnt rb,bhr, and AP all 3inch? 3inch/ NON RES pipe with will sound the same as any other NON RES 3inch pipe .

AP is dual res and has a bad(to me) sound to it at 3.5k to 4.5k rpms, I guess its from the change in sound the midpipe gave me which cause some bad resonance in the stock exhaust.
