Zeal Function X coils vs. NO COMPETITION!!!

Hey guys,

So I'm finally back in the "STREET LEGAL" rotary game. I got myself a RX8 Winning Blue about two weeks ago and within a day did some serious facelifting and footwork tuning.

My mods: Mazdaspeed kit, WINGLESS WONDER - NO WING FOR ME

Endless Brake Kit with street compound pads: OMG pedal modulation is the ****
Zeal Function X 30 way adjustable, I can't even count that high. hehe.
- Rates: 10kg front and 8kg rear

19x9.0 AME Circlar Spec R BBF finish: 245/35/19
19x10.0 AME Circlar Spec R BBF Finish: 275/30/19

Espelir Dual Exhaust, Thanks MACKIN for the hookup.
K&N Typhoon intake

That's basically where i'm gonna stop by mods on this car. Dana is working me real hard on dropping all the cats and getting a header. He wants to see MAJOR FLAMAGE. LOL!!!. I'm like, NOOOO I don't want another reffable car, lolz.

So for suspension, I started out at the softest setting and found that it oscillated a bit too much. I then bumped the front to 15 and rear to 25, the vehicle began to have the "snake-like" movement now. Rear end is planted. Ride quality PHENOMENAL. I've taken quite a few guys for rides in my car along with wives and kids. No problems. I am running the stiffest rates Zeal offers and this still rides great. Now i'm wondering what the Xs would be like with 8kg/6kg rates and 6 way adjustable.

Anyways, I've settled for 15 front and 20 rear for right now. I'm gonna move the front to 20 and rear to 25 before this weekend. You know, trying to find that sweet spot for turn in, ride quality on freeway, and of course compliant enough for the wife. hehe.

Here's some pics of the car: Let me know what you guys think. Much of this is the first RX8 with several of these products, namely the footwork stuff. Endless and AME.

There's you go. Oh and this was it the day before in all it's STOCK BASS FISH MOUTH GLORY. hehehe.

Let me know what you guys think. I gotta do a build post in another thread somewhere else.

Anyone in the San Fransisco Bay Area it will be my pleasure to give you a ride so you can see what the comfort and handling of these coilovers are like.

i love the look of your car... the rims and bodykit. and perfect ride height...

might i suggest some tint to compliment the look...

Zeal coilovers are awesome if you can afford them...actually i love any coilovers that can get rid of the boat like feeling and ridiculous amounts of body roll our "sports "car have...
additionally, is it possible to get a close up side-shot of the rear rims... just want to get an idea of the depth of that lip..

lastly, i know you are running adjustable coilovers so you can tune your dampers as to not rub... but what offset are you running i just want to get a rough idea of the gap between the fender-lip and tyre.

i ask because i want to ride just as low.

thanks

So for starters the "Endless Brake Kit"

This is a 6 Piston Caliper, includes everything minus the rotor and retails for $2460.00. THat means it comes with

SS Braided lines, Teflon Sheathed
Caliper Brackets
Pads of your choice from Endless

The Caliper features staggered Piston Diameters as well as staggered arrangement. THe purpose of this is to allow for an even contact patch on the rotor resulting in even pad wear, while also working on conjunction with your factory brake master cylinder. Often times one will upgrade their brakes to be left with a mushy pedal because the pistons in the caliper are simply to large for the factory brake master cylinder. My system actually improved pedal feel immensely over stock, while also improving both initial response and fade resistance.

The Wheels have been made to my spec, 19x9 +45 and 19x10 +45 with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I have another set of these wheels in stock in Carbon Silver finish for those interested. Nobody has these yet.

This is the first shipment into the US. We are looking for worth vehicles to put these wheels on.

Thanks, Rishie

How much do they weigh?

Whats the price for all 4 Shipped (Orlando, FL)

So here they are 19" baby. Keep in mind that blue ring around the lip is just protective film. THe lips are not blue. LOL!!!

Let me know what you think. PM me and i'll give you the DEAL. You'll be the first one with em.

WHEELS RETAIL FOR $2746.00, like a VOLK RACING CALIBER. THese are manufactured in Japan at Enkei's Racing Wheel factory, they are not poorly made by any means. Same barrel as Racing Hart and Lowenhart wheels. Forged spun barrel.

These wheels weigh LESS THAN THE FACTORY 18" WHEEL, I weighed them when i did mine. I think they were 1-2 lbs lighter than the 18x8 factory wheel.

Peace, Rishie

Yes, those are my stock rotors. I did not have to change them. Endless offers so many varieties of kits and caliper sizes it's ridiculous. THey have the lightest calipers on the market and Sizes that will work well with our high offset vehicles, unlike many other brands.

The Endless Calipers come in several colors now as an additional option:

Here's an example from TAS 2004 I believe:

For the Coils, I have the Function X in stock which is 30 way adjustable, what I have and also the Function Xs coilover which has a softer spring rate and is 6 way adjustable. Here's some pics:

I'm gonna do a promo offer on these since no one has them and everyone is scared to fork the cash. so i'm gonna make it easy and give you them at my cost. I have 1 set of Function X and one set of Function Xs. If you want a coilover that rides insanely well, handles insanely well, offers full US support for custom valving and overhauls, as well as won't clink and clang like many other brands i've tried, then THIS IS THE BRAND FOR YOU. I PROMISE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Function X: Retail: $3190.00 PROMO: $2460.00 SHIPPED OUT OF CALI.

Function Xs: $2775.00 PROMO: $2150.00 SHIPPED OUT OF CALI.

LOOK AT THE ADJUSTER DIAL. HOLY **** YOU KNOW WHAT NUMBER YOU're ON. HEHE.

Cali res subject to sales tax. If you buy these before the end of this weekend I'll give an additional 5% discount on the coilovers.

I have shock dynos for all of these as well that we keep on file.

Peace, Rishie

Oh one really nice thing about these coils is the extension for the adjuster which allows you to gain access for adjustments with ease. I'll take pictures of my adjusters placement also for you guys. I didn't want to drill so i let them just hang out the side of the rear trunk panel. It's against the trunk rear wall.

Here's an example of the adjuster/PVS dial with a window: ONLY FOR THE Xs, 6 way adjustable. They couldn't fit 30 way on the DIAL. hehe.

For those of you who don't know Endless, here's a nice shot of our Super Taikyu N1 Endurance Series back to back champion race car.

I have no problems hooking you up with sponsorship pricing, but it will not be free. I am the Director of Motorsports for Endless and have the power to do so. Justify it for me, work the streets, tracks, shows or whatevers. Just give me something and i'll work the deal for you.

As long as they are OEM replacement rotors that would work fine. WE carry the Mu also, but it seems kinda like a conflict since they are competing brands. I'm going to be contacting a rotor company next week to get two piece rotors for my car. I'll give you guys a heads up and run a group buy on them.

Thanks, Rishie

I have stoptech factory replacement rotors on my 8 and i love them even with the factory caliper. However, with the endless caliper it would be insane. The kit from stop tech comes in your choice of slotted or drilled (i have the slotted) and includes all four rotors, lines, pads, and new break fluid. Great kit for a great price. Also a perfect platform to buid on such as adding the endless caliper.

how much weight savings does the endless caliper/brake kit offer compared to stock? You said that they are the lightest on the market, I'm just trying to figure out how much rotational weight I could save with this brake upgrade and my 14.5lb volks.
