I am looking at purchasing some rims at a great price, but they are only offered in a staggered set: 18 x 8.0 and 18 x 9.0.

I originally wanted to stay with the same size all around, but I am too tempted by these wheels.

Part of the analysis will depend on whether I can simply put my stock tires (225 45 R18's) on the 18 x 9.0 wheels. If so, will it look stupid? Or will you hardly be able to tell?

Are there any disadvantages to the staggered set up besides not being able to rotate the tires?
