yes yes yes...i also had that idea. its the 6 spoke enkei's correct? my friend has an evo and i can't wait for him to get rims so he can dump those wheels to me for cheap. can't believe ur friend is gonna let u have them. i wanted a set of the stock enkei's so i can save some gas and get some rpf1's from rish.

what they run for used?

rishie: remember those rpf'1s in 17x9.5 that u recommended over the 17x9's?

still planning to grab a set in the future...but a grand or two is still far ahead of me.

did you open up another shop in las vegas yet? i do plan to hopefully save $$$ on nevada tax... or was it taxless?

anyway, still haven't decided on it to run either 17x9 or 17x9.5 rpf1 for dual purpose.
what would be the recommended tire size for the 17x9s and staying in the neighborhood of the stock 18s O.D.?
thanks rish

sorry....as u were gentlemens/or ladies if any.

Yo troic, send me a pm with all that stuff. I don't want to take up space here.

EVO Wheels with 245/45/17 FTW. DO IT, DO IT NOW.

FYI other 17" wheels that are great. Enkei NT03 +M 17x9.5 +44 with 275/40's on STOCK FENDERS.

Enkei RPF1 makes a 17x9.5 +38 and that you can easily run with a 245/45/17 NO PROB. If you can find a 265/40/17 that would be pretty sick too for autox...

I've always wondering about Evo 9 MR rims made by BBS on the 8, I think they would look KILLER. I don't know the specs on those tho.

This is what the 09 Evo MR BBS rims look like:

There is currently a set on EBay for $770, not bad. I think they will be hard to find tho, they are kinda rare (like r3 rims here). If i were to buy 'em it would be for track only wheels. Too bad they are only 8" wide...

I know this thread's been hit or miss, but I have a set of my original Evo VIII wheels I'm currently riding on. They fit great. I'll get pics up in a bit, but since I'm sitting on new wheels for my RX8, would anyone be interested in maybe picking them up? I'll probably post up a GI thread in the for-sale section soon.

Sorry...I was installing my lowering springs today and didn't get to the pics. I'll clean her up tomorrow. I'll take pics and post them up on Saturday...I'm a firefighter and won't be able to jump back on until then.

I will say this, after moving the wheels and tires around today, they are CRAZY light and would be great for tracking. I'm not sure what they weigh, but they are definately less than stock.
