245-40-18 tires will fit on the stock 18X8 wheels, with no rub issues. I have been had that size on my car for almost a year, at a lower than stock ride height, and have had not one single rub issue.

I'm in the same boat as L8APEX. Love them! Absolutely no rubbign issues, even with a drop.

Reverse image. Look at the Tein logo.

If you're going to be driving in snow, do not get 245 wide winter tires. Narrow is better to dig into the snow: 245 is much too wide for a 3000 lb car (again, in the snow - on dry it's apparently great.)

As someone else said, consider getting 17" wheels and winters. The extra sidewall helps the tire conform to surface irregularities and you can go either 215/55R17 or 225/50R17, both of which will give much better traction in snow than the 245.

There's also a new red colored appendage growing out of his rear window. WOW

I use the stock tire size on my stock 18" rims and the car does ok in the snow, but an excellent point is made about the width of 245's above. You really want the narrowest tire you can get for snow, expecially becuase our car is quite light compared to some other cars that may have 245's as an 'appropriate' tire size. Weight, per square inch needs to be maximized for winter performance.

17" rims are good for snow tires, especially if you want to have fun on the track in the summer time too, because 17" rims are the best for track fun as well. You could use those 17" rims all year long...

I "shaved" it? Naa... Reversed image worked out better for the placement of my sig.
