who's running federal tires?
currently i'm running federal tires on my car. I think they are a good set but really haven't heard to many good things from ppl. To me they fill like a good sticky tire in a straight line but cornering seems to leave a bit for desire. Seems as if the front wants to push. Right now i have 225 but will be going with 245 in the near future. I really don't fill like paying 140+ per tire for minimal gain when i can go much cheaper for minimal loss.

I ran Federal SS595's in 215/40-17's on my 5th Gen Celica for 4 years (3 years for the first set and 1 year on the 2nd set which are currently just sitting around not being used)
Currently I have the SS595's in 235/40-18 on the front and 265-35-18's in the back and am having the same kind of experience with them. NEVER hear them squealing or chirping when cornering at high-speed.
Can't say i've ever had any issues with the front's wanting to push and i'm running a staggered set-up that is prone to understeer...
Then again, I haven't taken the car out for autocross or anything, so if you're referring to pushing the car to it's limits with these tires, then that may be a whole different story. I'd like to think i've brought the car as close to it's limits as I can in a safe manner, but i've never tried pushing past the limits on a course.
I know Kane is running the SS595's on his RX8 aswell, and have seen 1 or 2 more members using them.

I have a set of 4x 245s on all four corners of my 8. the 595 series i believe. i got them 200 for the set, installed because i worked at a tire place when i got them last summer. havent seriously pushed them overboard, but they work fine, do well in the rain. id have gone with stock size if they hadnt been so cheap to buy at the time.
