Where does Caliper Pin w/rubber sleeve go?

I was replacing my front brake pads/rotors on my '05 MT and realized the caliper guide pins are actually different on top and bottom. Like a dumb*** I confused the pins together and now I don't know which on goes where...

Can anyone tell me if the caliper pin with the rubber sleeve (not the boot) goes in the top, or the bottom?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Thanks for the drawing.

I'm dont see the rubber sleeve in this drawing (unless I'm missing something).

The rubber sleeve would go over the shaft of the caliper pin (#33-998 or 33-694). My issue is I dont know which pin it goes over.

So the bottom bolt in the picture below (with the little indent and rubber sleeve) goes in the bottom hole of the caliper bracket, hope that helps!

After a quick Google, 33-998, the top one, is the one with the rubber sleeve. Also... brb, I think mine are backwards

I'm trying to reconcile the two different responses I have from Chrishoky (bottom) and Loki (top), so I Google'd the part two part numbers 33-998 and 33-694. It appears 33-998 is the part with the sleeve.

I just reviewed the drawing at the Hiley Mazda and their drawing is different from the one posted above. The dealer's drawing has 33-998 as the bottom pin, and 33-694 as the top pin.

So, I'm going to go with 33-998 as the pin with the sleeve, in the bottom caliper position.

Appreciate the help,

Mike

Yea like I said I have always put the pin with the rubber sleeve in the bottom hole. Never had an issue.
