Wheel size change

Recently got my first 8,it's an auto since the misses can't drive stick..but I'm immediately hating the 16" rims and thinking of getting 18"s. I was just wondering if there was anything I needed to know other than purchasing he new tires n rims..like the pressure monitoring systems, would I need to get new ones etc.

not all aftermarket rims accept tpms. make sure you get the right bolt pattern and offset you want

Like what 200.mph said, it really depends on the wheels your getting. I usually buy my tires at tirerack.com, and they could help you with wheels that support the tpms.

Yes there is something you'll want to know. Look at any cost differences in various tire sizes. Why do I say this? Because some sizes are made in fewer numbers and can cost much more (assuming you absolutely want that XYZ tire). Several years ago I went to 19" and there were like ZERO tires avail in 19". Nice wheels---stupid expensive tires. Something to think about. TireRack has a great customer review and rating section you might want to check out. Some tires can be very loud at highway cruise speeds.
