What do you think?

If anyone has been in the lounge lately, you will know that my brother has recently passed away. Although I am staying strong for my family, and grieving on my own, I am liking to just try and mask it all - By working on the 8.

I found these:

http://store03.prostores.com/servlet...s-Tires/Detail

They seem to have the specs needed - Correct bolt pattern, 7.5", and comes with 225/40/18 tires, which is close to what I currently have on. The combo is, in my mind, dirt cheap, and I have seen their eBay store and they have fantastic reviews.

So, why am I posting?

Would these look good on a LY RX8? Not only the package as a whole, but I mean, I am weery abou the bolt pattern. I dont like the fact that there will be 5 extra holes

Open for suggestions!

18x7.5 is just too small of a wheel for the rx8. It will be sunken in and it'll look worse than the stock wheels. Check out the Will It Fit thread for good sizes for our car. You really don't want to go below an 18x8.5..

Wait, what about spacers? Lol I do really like the package, and especially the price, so if I can figure something out with spacers that would be awesome!

I would hold off. I honestly think these would detract from the look of your car. I honestly think it would be better to paint your OEM rims piano black. These would kind of cheapen the image of your car. If you're going to change something, make it better.

Yeah so I think I'm avoiding these rims. Might just powdercoat my OEM ones for now. I needed new tires, and anywhere around here they'll cost me $1100 :S so figured I might as well get rims and rubber, but thanks for suggestions!

WoW! Those wheels don't have a good enough look for the price.

I run Enkei GF1's 18 x7.5 38 offset with Hankook Ventus V12 in 225/40r18 ( to gear down 3 %), and my total tire and wheel weight is 42#. The track is also about 1/2 inch wider because of the offset.

I track my 8, and get plenty good traction on my 6 spd auto with this combo, but for about $300-400 per wheel you can get very nice looking, and about 17-18 # in wheel weight for a 18 x7.5 wheel. My Enkei's are 19#, and look really good for what the dealer probably paid: $100-150.

Lots of pretty wheels, just watch the weight if you pay a lot.

If that price is for 4 wheels, with the tires, then, they look pretty good.

Hope your year gets better for you!

my car came with mazdaspeed MS-T II that are 7.5 wide, it's not that bad but youll be limited for tire sizes...max 235...but with a good offset it will look fine

The Mazdaspeed wheels are only 7.5" wide? Am I reading that right? I think I would consider the "footprint" of a tire that is thinner than stock to detract from traction. I've had my eye on Forgestar F-14's in 18x10, though. I haven't decided on the offset... or tire size just yet
