weird drip on rotors

I got some weird yellow gunk on my brake rotors that just appeared out of nowhere.

It wasn't rust or anything, and it disappeared after I drove around for a little bit.

It's strange; could someone tell me what it might be/what caused it/bldjfkla

Yes, it's actually brake dust / rotor rust combonation(of sorts)....it's a very common problem to those with the OEM rotors when the get wet. I'll bet either it just rained or you got the wheels wet in some way. It will wear off the first time or two you apply the brakes. Wait till it drips down onto your rims....you'll really be happy when that happens!

"Rotor Rust" will actually bring up some hits about 1/3 to 1/2 way down the page.
There was a TSB(Technical Service Bulletin) on it years ago for early models(?), but I don't think it applies anymore.
