Volk GT-V?

Hey all.

First off, I have searched all over and can't come up w/ the answer, hence the new post. (please don't rip me if it's some where on the forum 'cuz I couldn't find it )

I'm on the verge of buying Volk GT-V (damn expensive in Canada) 19" x 8.0 or 8.5. Can someone give me the weight for these please???

Question 2.... What is the widest tire I can "safely" put on the 8.0 and 8.5without having to customize. I am not going to stagger.

The Volks will be my everday wheels used for city70% of the time and 30% on highway (I'm running the stock wheels for the 1-2 times a year I hit the track).
I'm a semi aggressive driver (will do donuts/peel out on occasion) but not a complete maniac. Any tire suggestions appreciated.

Thanx for the help guys

8.5" should fit on all 4.

With that you can get 255 width rims to fit easily. I suggest 255/35/19 or 255/40/19

Bratt Thanx for the e-mail address ... I sent one today!

BigO: Thank u I ordered the 19" x 8.5's !!! Still deciding/researching tires/tyres :-)
looks like I'll be going 255's!!!!

also:
I like the ride quality the stock 18" 225/45 give.... I'd like to go 19" 255/40 tires except that tire gives me 3.93% diameter difference (according to size calculators) instead of the "max"3%...

If I go 19" 255/35 it's .02%... but will they be too harsh for city/potholes? I can deal w/ the 4% speedometer issue, but obviously I don't want it to be dangerous. Opinions/suggestions or experience w/ the aforementioned set-ups???

Once again thanx in advance for any help.

I have one set left of these GTV's in Mercury silver, but staggered only 19x8.5 and 9.5 for the RX8 that we're clearing out at cost. If you're interested please send me an email wholesale@autornd.com with your complete shipping address and i'll get you a quote from here to you. I'm sure this will be cheaper than you will EVER FIND. It might be worth it to just take the staggered setup, it will look better too. You can run 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. This is what I'm doing. I haven't found any of the "balance" issues that others have mentioned, in fact i was having issues with my RX8 being sensitive to oversteer. So this staggered setup has made the car safer for me.

Thanks, Rishie

Do it!!!, rishi is GREAT guy to deal with! You can always sell off the other 2 staggered ones later when winter comes and order 2 more rear ones the same size so you get them by summer.
