TPMS Transfer

I had new tires installed today, P Zero Nero 245/40 18's. These are nice tires, I didnt realize how noisey the Bridgestones were . Since these were 40 series tires I was expecting a harsher ride, well if it is, its not enough to noticeable. Some much about the tire. When the wheels were being balanced, the guy doing the balanceing pointed out that I had a bent rim.. How difficult is it moving the TPMS unit to the new OEM wheel. If its just a matter of removing in reinstalling, I'll go back to the shop that installed the tires and if theirs more to it I will take it to the dealer.

Not hard at all for a tire guy. If the tire is off the rim, the TPMS sensor just unbolts from the old wheel and bolts onto the new one.

Thanks for your response Omicron. It's funny you replied first, since I bought these tires using your feed back.

11mm deepwell socket drops them right inside the rim. I always push them inside before I break the bead so I don't need to worry about breaking one as the tire goes to drop center.

Who ever does the work be sure they know they are in there. (other than the dealer)
