That is a very good price for S03's. I had these on my Lexus and they were great. Didn't last very long...but good tires while they were there. They set me back about $800.

I had a set on a turbo fwd(260bhp) & it would grip like hell, unlike the toyo t-1s I fittted after

These tires are the **** for this price. I think the MX will last longer, but the S03 is a damn good all around sticky tire.

Very very sticky, rain or shine.

Yup just bought these myself and got them installed. The ride is alot bumper than the stock tires, but they do stick like glue to the road.

Just to offer an alternative view, S-03PP is discontinued by Bridgestone. So keep that in mind as you would be required to switch to something else due to blowout/nail/damage.

The newer/better 245/40/18 RE050A PP is $196 with another $100 rebate per set. So you are buying Max Performance Summer tire technology of 2-3 years ago, not the latest generation.

XEO3, what the heck is Mastercraft....some store brand? They're talking about Bridgestone in this thread; though the model tire you linked to is similarly priced, the performance probably sucks, nevermind the actual quality of the tire.

Well said. Also, why does the price keep creeping up? A few months ago this was a $180 tire at the Rack, and now it's touching 200 clams, as if someone planned it this way to negate the effects of the rebate. Check other places on the net for the 050 PP, and still get your rebate. Easily twice the performance of the S03 for only a couple bucks more.

Your a douche, grow up. I posted the wrong URL. 1010 had the tires for a few dollars cheaper. I was researching the crap tires that were on my car and was looking for better rubber.

Depending on the kumho you're running you might end up with a

"drift friendly" tire setup. Not sure if that's what you want to do in this car.

Sticky front, not so sticky rear can lead to a slippery situation. hehe.

Well I swapped the Kumho to the so2's, after scrubbing in I can now take a corner at 55mph in the wet that I could only make at 50mph in the dry
Maybe it's the 140 treadwear rating

Exclamation

This tire is now down to $115 at Tire Rack. That's only a little bit more than the price I paid for a set I bought used from a forum member back in 2006. They may get noisey and probably will only last you 2 years max just like the 8's original Potenza RE040s, but the S03s have ungodly handling. I am happy as **** that they are this low now especially considering that the set I am currently on will easily be bald before summer. Maybe I'm not the right person to ask since I fell in love with these shoes, but there's no way you'll be able to find a better deal. They were a steal last year at $129 and I can't even fathom how they didn't sell out at that price, but all I know is I really am sitting pretty now you sweet bitches.

Just picked up a set and had them installed two days ago. Great tire especially for 115 bucks!

Total cost installed was right at 600 dollars.
