Tire weight - easy way to shed some pounds
Ok, I decided to see what kinda of weight savings I could get from using a lighter weight tire, as per Bridgestone's web site, our stock tires weigh in at 26lb (ouch)
I looks like Toyo T1-S's are about the lightest I can find, but I can't find and exact 225/45/18. the closest I see is a 225/35/18, and that weighs an amazing 20.5lb!!!
Thats 5lbs per wheel, and thats massive. anyone know if a 225/35 will work for us?
While I like the ride and grip our wheels provide, the downside is the weight and tire life, anyone looking to upgrade might find these a good option.
you could still get some lightweight wheels at a later time.

Would FIT, but at a price.......
The sidewall is 22% shorter, and will reduce your rubber between you and the road almost an inch. (May be also a good way to 'drop' the car an inch?)
Being smaller, miles will rack up 7% faster, the speedo will read almost 7% faster, at indicated 60, you will be doing 56mph.
