Which tire brand replaced your OEM Bridgestone/Dunlop?

For those of you who replaced your OEM shoes with a different brand other than Bridgestone or Dunlop please choose it from the list. I just want to see some numbers here.

At this moment, 6 hrs into the poll, 100% choose Falken.
I'm the only one to have voted.

if i had to do it over again i would have gone with kuhmo 245 40 18 spt or kuhmo 245 40 18 mx.

i have 22k mile on the 225 45 18 kumho spt... and they are great.. but track days loom... see above comments...

btw... miami... uh like were i live... rain is an issue.... the spts rock... i mean great rain tires...

if you are not autoxing or tracking... excellent choise.

I got the Falken Azenis RT615 and love them. I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about them thus far.

I bought a set of 17's and put Falken Ziex ZE-512 in 225/50/17 on them. I'm going to use them for my daily driver while keeping my OE wheels and tires for autocrossing.

for the guys who went with the falken 615's over the yokohama ad07's was cost the deciding factor? both are great tires obviously, but i think yokohama is costing themselves quite a bit of $$$ by not pricing the ad07 more competitively. just slapping the advan brand name on anything seems to make it expensive.

I didn't buy the replacement tires since I bought my 8 only a few weeks ago with 24,000 miles (tires were replaced at 18,000). The replacement tires are BF Goodrich G-Force Sport 225/40/ZR18. I've been pleased with the tires. In fact, I've been surprised at how well the car performs in wet conditions, feeling planted and secure. I can't compare the tires to others.

From an earlier post of mine..... Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

I replaced my OE Dunlops with the Goodyears last week and did my first Autocross on them this past weekend. I'm favorably impressed with these tires. I got the 225/40-18s, so they're just slightly smaller than the OE 45's. The tires have a slightly more "crisp" feel to them in cornering, they're about as sticky as the Dunlops were, and they're very well behaved when they start sliding - no sudden transitions or nasty surprises. The 225/40-18s were $182 US apiece from The Tire Rack.

The Goodyears got rave reviews from Car & Driver, and came in first out of a field of 11 performance tires. Tire Rack surveys score them pretty high too.

The Tire Rack has a pointer to the full report here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y_f1_gs_d3.jsp

Hmm...looks like Falcon, Kuhmo, and BF Goodrich are the top 3 brands people have been going with on here. I was kind of surprised to see so many Yokohama users too.

Anyway thanks for the numbers.
