Those of you who have G35 rims !!!

Hey i jsut got my g35 rims mounted. Theyre goig to be my winter rims. My car is from the states. First few days, perfect no TPMS light. But since yesterday it started blinking !!! Its not a big deal but it can get annoying after a while. The wheels came with TPMS in them and the mechanic was going to decide to take them out or not. I told him if he does to leave them in the trunk but theyre not there so im assuming he left them on. Anyway to fix this ?? I want the light to stop blinking !!!

Also one of my rims is slightly bent if that makes a difference. A bit of bounciness but i can live with that.

Any help pleaseeee.

Thanks

If the tpms were the original infinity ones, they most likely won't work due to a different frequency. So in, or out, it won't matter since the car won't pick them up. It it really bothers you, you'll have to have mazda ones put in, or aftermarket ones with the mazda frequency.

Yes, if you run no tpms, you'll get the blinking light. Eventually it will beep at you every once in a while too. I've learned to tune it out as my summer wheels don't have tpms.

Wow, a constant blink with a coming/going beep? All I have is a solid light, is this a difference in years?

I have had TPMS problems since day 1. Mine blinks after 10 miles or so of driving. I just got tires mounted and had them replace the wearable parts on the sensors itself and their still blinking. Im just going leave it alone, if only there is away to turn it off completely.

Unfortunately I don't think there's a way to disengage the TPMS, I believe the subject has been discussed in the past. For those of you who seem to be having problems and are using proper TPMS, it may be possible the internal batteries in the sensors have gone bad. It is also possible that the car may not be synced properly, but I'm not exactly sure how the rx8 tpms system works/syncs...

if you're using G35 TPMS sensors, odds are that your mazda won't recognize it.

tilt: I remember when I got my wheels mounted, the TPMS was blinking and there is in fact a procedure in the manual to sync the system. If I get time later I'll look it up and post the page #

p.s. G35 wheels are ghey.

be sure to remove the infiniti center cap before you throw them on the car... i always see guys leave them on and it basically screams 'hey i got these off an infiniti!!'

Sorry to bump this. But i have accepted that the light will stay on during winter months, no big deal. But i was wondering if come spring time and i put on my rx8 rims back on if it will mess up my sensors due to the 4 months of "false" sensoring during the winter with my g35 rims.

My light blinked and beeped once when my tire was low, but now with no TPMS it is just a solid light.
And if the light ends up being a problem you can buy TPMS sensors from Tire Rack.
