The tires on Tirerack

Kumho Ecsta ASX

I recently had my tires rotated by a dealership ( first time someone else has touched my car) It seems now that my handling has changed for the worse. I seem to have less traction around turns. I noticed while going down a tight left turn. The noise I hear is the same if the tires are getting no grip - a grindy noise instead of a squeal I usually get. It comes from the right side. - I think

Left side of my car - looking from the rear. the "arrow" in the center. The thing part is pointing up. The right side of the car the "arrow" is pointing down.

-"arrow" not sure what else to call it Gotta love the terminology.

All help would be GREATLY appreciated. I don't want to wreck my 8

The tread is asymmetrical, so it must be. Look at the side view on TireRack. There is a label stamped on the sidewall that says "outside".

looks like those are asymmetric. So, look on the side wall, there should be markings saying "inside/inner" for the inside side wall, and "outside/outer" for the outside side wall.

Yes, I have these, they are directional and there should be an "OUTSIDE" marked on one side.

you guys are fired... khumo asx's directional +1 on above post. it will read outside and there will be a rotation arrow. P.S. you would be better getting General UHP's if you want to go cheap.

Actually, if it says "Outside," then it will not have a rotation arrow. Unless there are left and right-specific tires...

My Hankook snows have an "Outside" marking but are asymmetric like the ASX, so they're just pointed in different directions on each side of the car. It's weird, but it works fine.
