Tein S-Techs?
Sup guys, I have been doing some research on springs that I want to get. I don't track, just use it day to day getting from one place to another so I figured that springs are the best option.
I am going to also buy a tsunami kit for the car. I was wondering if you guys think that the Tein S-Techs are the best springs for me? Also, which vendor should I talk to about getting them? |
s-techs are basically the standard around here you should be fine with those
as far as where to get them i believe ebay has them cheapest. |

you can find them on ebay for 175 with free shipping. Best price I can find.

Yeah you can get them on ebay for around $150.00 but shipping is $25.00, so $175.00 is a legit price.

Progress Tech Sport Springs are another option to look at, a moderate drop and the same spring rate.
We have it in stock for $175 shipped Made in the USA so you won't be concerned of sagging over time. |

Progress makes great stuff but I put a set of these on last weekend and the drop is not low enough IMO. Preloading mean you don't fully tighten the A arm bolts once you put the car back on the ground. You drive a round for a few and then tighten them up. I even recommend preloading again after a week or so.

do not buy S-techs off Ebay; there are a TON of fake S-Tech springs out there.

It's definitely a personal choice some are lower than others. personally I just think the Teins are the best of both worlds. Ideally aside from coilovers I think Teins S Techs and Koni Yellows are the perfect combo. But it all comes down to money and preference. But the deal on the Progress springs is amazing. |

Really varies. For me it costs nothing, I am glad to give a hand. But I would say around $400.00. FYI, the pic above was a friends car this weekend, we installed progress springs and he is very happy.

Yeah spring compressor. This is mine, got it at harbor freight for like $60.00. But we found out last weekend using it is a lot easier with air but its doable.

I'd say get some rsr springs but their discontinued.

Ehh I dont like the s-techs anymore... too soft. Go with the Sprint springs
Also, it is pretty easy to install the springs, just set aside 6 hours (if you know what you're doing it only takes 2-3) and rent a compressor from autozone (its free). There is a DIY on here that explains it thoroughly. Also ask around in your area, im sure people would be glad to help. |

just buy em for other sites i got mine cheaper than the ones on ebay from a site look around youll find good deals on stechs
