Question TEIN Flex and EDFC install help please

Hi all. Well they showed up today :D. I am wanting to get a head start on some install stuff and have questions for those of you that have this setup.

01) It's pretty obvious that the EDFC step motors are installed prior to installing the front coilcover, I've done that. However on the rear, do they need to be installed prior to install of the coilcover or is there enough room to add them after the rear units are installed and bolted down?

02) The rear is pretty easy, but how did you route the wires for the front step motors to the inside of the auto? Did you go through the firewall, under, over? What path?

03) Wiring the EDFC controller, how did you wire the trickle power (for the memory), how did you wire the illumination light so that it came on when you turn the dash lights on? Where are these wires you tied in to and can you give me colors of those wires?

04) The install instructions give recommended height adjustments for everything, did you stick with those?

Any other install tips, tricks, or advice are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Here's what I can address:

02) routed the wiring through the grommet in the firewall, to the left of the clutch pedal, under the steering column and then behind the double-din to mount it.

03) I tapped/soldered into the wiring from the radio harness for the pos, the illum wire & memory (constant 12v) (don't remember the colors, but I used a voltmeter to test for them!), and grounded it to the chassis at an existing ground point underneath the ashtray module.

04) they were installed with the recommended height adjustment, but were adjusted a bit afterwards to get the right stance (this is a subjective area). Only you can make the call on this one.

Get the EDFC motors in first. You can lift the cover off of little side step and run the wires from the right rear to the front through there. Or you can probably run it down the left side, but my EDFC is in the glove compartment for now, so I ran it down the right.

We just slapped the coilovers on and adjusted later. The front is supposed to be a 1.5" drop out of the box, and the rear is a 0.7" drop. We just dropped the rears.

here are some pics from my install:

We adjusted it up, so that it sits at stock height. I didn't want it any lower, cause as it is now, it BARELY makes it onto a flatbed, having to go up backward! I couldn't squeeze my pinky between the ground and the bottom of the car if I wanted while its rolling up onto the flat bed...but its just high enough not to touch. Just some more food for thought.

where do the rear coilovers connect? do you have to get into the trunk for that? (will have an issue with this due to the subs)

They fit in place of the stock struts. If you have the EDFC motors attached, they are a little taller. All of this sits behind the carpeting still, so I would say that your subs should be no problem.

well, it's going to be a tight fit. I pulled my back seats out and what i was looking at, I believe is the strut (long black tube with 2 bolts on the side, the bolts point toward the center of the car), and I can get to it... but hehehe going to be a tight fit...
