You seem to not like any of these choices. Is there a setup that you think is worth the money?

STANCE GR+, Bilstein, TEIN FLEX.

Are all around $1200-1400, and are all good coil overs.

But again if you don't care about the handling, and just wanna go low get the Megans.

I put Tanabe coilovers on in Jan, but not the same model so take this for what its worth...

I put on Tanabe Sustec Pro Five coilovers with the TEAS controller on my 2008 GT RX-8 beginning of Jan. Was a pricey mod, but I'm having fun with it.

So far on the street the cornering much improved. For daily driving, its rough on bad roads (plenty of them in Sonoma County, CA) and hits hard/loud on big sharp bumps. For "normal" road conditions not much louder or rougher than the stock setup.

I have a smooth curvy section of back road I can usually get up to some pretty good speed on for mod comparisons and I can take the turns with confidence noticeably faster.

Have not been able to get on the track yet. That'll March before that test happens, but looking forward to it.

All in, I'm pretty happy with the setup I decided on.

Hope this helps.

I care about the handling, i don't want to lose any handing the RX already has, but i won't track the car at all so consistant hard driving isn't what i need either.

So if i am understanding you...Megans are a better setup than stock but are not worth the money if i plan on taking the car to any auto X event?
