Tanabe Spring(s) Question's
Hey all, I have searched and could not find any threads with pic's of RX-8's lowered on Tanabe Spring's.
I'm looking into DF210 and PRO210 I was reading on there web site; The DF210 coil spring offers a large drop, while retaining superb ride quality characteristics. The spring rate is raised 10-15% to compensate for the shortened amount of suspension travel, without over stiffening the spring rate and affecting ride quality and shock lifespan. The DF210 is unique in that it provides an excellent range of benefits, from it's extremely low stance, to performance and comfort. Overall, the DF210 is extremely well balanced for those looking to lower their car, increase handling potential, and comfort. For those who want the lowest drop. I have GF210 on my 8. See the pic below.
Be aware of that DF210 has no applicable product for 8 and pro210 is for coilover usage. NF210 has the same drop as GF210 with different spring rates (softer). To me, the drop is nice for the price but you might want go for coilovers if 'max drop' is what you like to have. GF210 and koni yellow do make my ride stiffer than before. But it's fine with me and I like the feeling now. |
Derex'8 has some. i'm not sure which model though. his sits pretty low and he autox's his 8.

i have gf210s, but i heard rumors that teins were slightly better

Tanabe GF210 on Tokico Dspecs....This was a pretty comfortable ride when I had just this setup but now with the PT sways, AWR endlinks, JIC lateral links,carbing rear lower, and a bit more agressive alignment the ride is pretty rough :Eyecrazy: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...x8/Derex8x.jpg |

I see. So what did the drop look like when you guys had stock shocks? Was it cool? did it look good?

Thanks, -Gil When I had the GF210's on my car paired with the stock shocks, I thought the look was real good! I just wanted something new and the ability to adjust the height of my car! The GF210's are still for sale.. |

I had installed a set of Tanabe GF210 on my 8 a few weeks back. Still use the stock shocks. So far no problem and I'm loving the new feel of the car.

I have NF210 but later wish that I would have done the Gf's, oh well,my bad.:eyetwitch

Juikster, your front looks like it could go lower. Did you drop it all the way? My Teins were like that until I loosened the lower control arm bolts.
What don't you like about the NF210 springs? Too soft? |
