Sway Bar and Link thought - NOT a noob question
I've got 2 things going on here, I'm just too lazy to make and check 2 posts, here we go.
1- Has anyone used a straight/splined type sway bar set up? I have seen quite a few miata guys going this route, and as my 8 slowly but surely moves along its way to becoming strictly track, it's something I'm looking into. I'd like to know if anyone has experience with these, and also, maybe some dimensions/arm types to be used. Yes I know I could go and start squaring and measuring myself, but hey, isn't the purpose of a forum to share info with fellow drivers? For those of you who aren't sure what I'm talking about... here http://www.1speedway.com/608_175bars.htm
2- For the time being, I'm still running my AP adjustables and have found the ability to "tune" them to be very helpful when attending different tracks or using different tires. Being able to adjust the settings is great do help dial in times and generate as much grip as possible, but can be a pain in the *** when your trying to make changes at the track. I'm looking to see if anyone has done anything to make a "quick release" type sway bar link? If I remember correctly, someone on this forum has experimented with this idea in the past, but I can't find anything on it (yes ive tried search). Not sure if it came out to be successful or if it was a flop.

you can get the quick release endlinks from just about any Miata race parts place. I personally don't like them. I don't have that much of an issue taking the threaded nut on and off the endlink and you still have to crawl under there regardless. With the nut tight the swaybar reacts immediately and the adjustment holes don't wallow out over time.

the reaction speed of the bars was something i was a little concerned about, actually, it was really my only concern about it.
hmm, i'll have to check into small fortune. But is there anyone here with experience with these? i would assume that their response and function would be well increased considering the the flex motion will taking place ONLY in the sway bar itself (like a torsion rod style front end) instead of partially on the straight portion and partially on the bends of a pre-formed bar.
Thanks
