Suspension question

SO I PUT ON MEGAN RACING SPRINGS AND THEN I GOT IT ALIGNED AND I NOTICED THE FRONT WHEELS TILT INSIDE AT THE TOP. WTF? IS THIS NORMAL OR DID I PRE-LOAD THE SPRING TOO MUCH?:Eyecrazy:

???

Depending on your drop...that may be the best they could do? Otherwise the adjusters might be frozen as well??

It's a bit much for the street..but good for R comps on the track :)

Should i be concerned? I only drive the car 2 days a week or so

Ross_Dawg 06-23-2009 08:31 PM

no such thing as preloading the springs too much...

If you only drive the car 2 days a week i wouldnt be worried, but you will be getting shorter tire life how it is now. If I were you I'd go back to your alignment shop and tell them to get it back to near stock as possible. A little neg. camber in the rear is good but usually you dont want more than -0.5 up front

The specs for the suspension are based on the height of the car if I recall correctly... I guess that's why it looks like odd numbers.
Ask the shop to try to adjust the settings closer to the stock ride height spec.
I like some negative camber front and rear but anything more than -1.5 on the street is a lot IMHO.

Mine has been like that since my drop and I have not had any weird tire wear or any issues at all.
