Sumitomo HTR Z II

Seeing that my back two tires are pretty much bald, I figured I would get some cheapy tires for the back till I get my new rims and tires later this year.
Tirerack.com had the Sumitomo HTR Z II's for $94 a piece. I got them in yesterday, and they look really good. I'm hoping they drive well too. I've read a lot of people saying they're great and quiet, and handle good...etc.. but I've also read a lot of people saying they suck, they don't respond as well as the OE's, and they are loud.

Anyone have an opinion on these?

I'm trying to get my service dept. to put these on for me, but they are all complaining cause it's a low-pro... So I might go to discount tire after work, and let them do it.

Oh and the size I got was 245/40/18

A few things I can chime in about on these tires. Do they suck. NO. The things you want out of a tire also have alot to do with it. I've used them on my Talon before and they are not bad. In wet weather they are not great but they are a very decent tire. The grip was above average and tire wear was not bad either. They will prob have a bit different ride characteristics then stock tires because they have less side wall. Its not a bad tire overall. Its not they greatest but man you could have done much much worse.

Good deal, Thanks. I'm hoping these are just going to be temporary. But I'd still like a nice drive.
