stuck on a brake problem

Currently I am running Hawk HP+ pads f+r along with racing brake one piece sport slotted rotors.

My issue is that I cannot get the brakes to stop squeaking for about the past 3-6 months now (cant remember how long its been).

I have tried using all of the bullshit autozone anti squeak and brake cleaners but that never did anything. I have taken apart the system multiple times to see if anything looks out of line that would cause an odd rub. And I have just recently taken the rotors off and then had them shaved down as I think they were beginning to get a little warped because there was a slight wobble/pull when braking.

After shaving the rotors the car didnt squeal when braking for about 2 days (10-20 miles tops) now it is back to the same old ****. and rust has already started to build back up on the rotor surface in no time.

The pads are wearing evenly with no issues and do not look melted or odd by any means, I just cant seem to figure out what the problem is with them and its starting to drive me crazy. I have always changed my own brakes since my first car and have never had an issue till this time.

anyone have any ideas?

try deglazing the pads. When you installed the rotors, did you clean off the protective coating?

^yeah the protective coating is gone considering I had to shave them because they were warped.

Just went out for a quick run to bed the brakes in and it seemed to work fairly well. Completely two sessions before I felt like I needed to quit because the brakes were starting to feel quite spongy and are in need of a bleed. I'm gonna bleed them then conduct this again and I think I should be good because I did notice a huge difference before and after.

Thanks for the posts so far

Take an hour or two to read this very informative post: BRAKE FAQ. It may clear things up why we use the word 'warped' and 'wobbly' upon describing problems in relation to brakes. I have the same problem and it's because of an air bubble in the lines. It's not bothersome, thus why I haven't fixed mine. I should because it may potentially cause an uneven wear on either the brake pads or my tires.

I know 'DocBeech' have mentioned that he used Hawk HP+ and his squeaks also. Does it squeak when your rotors are warm enough after a drive?

awesome read and thanks for the find.

So yeah looks like I have experience pad fad and not warped rotors. My brake squeaking may simply be because its not hot enough then because I simply do not drive far right now and do not have a need to brake often and if so only from about 35mph, similar to 'DocBeech'.

I am fine with the little squeak here and there if its simply because my brake system is not quite up to temperature yet.
