Stock Brake Rotor weight?

Has anyone weighed the stock brake rotors? I just got replacement ones from Adreneline Racing and just weighed them...18.5 lbs per rotor for the fronts!! My wheels are only 19lbs so this seems heavy to me. Comments? Anybody taken off their stock rotors, do they feel that heavy?

they're solid pieces of STEEL, of course they're gonna be heavy

only gonna be light if you invest in CERAMIC rotors :o

18.5 lbs is cool if thats what the stockers weigh. I just want to make sure I'm not adding weight. I've called MNAO, Stoptech, multiple dealers, and Brembo and none of them could tell me the weight of the stock brake rotors.

if they are just stock replacement rotors, then they're probably about the same weight if they're both plain steel rotors.

2 piece with aluminum hats would work, unfortunately you can't get them short of $600ish each.

No worries. I still have my stock rotors. I placed one on my digital bathroom scale and it was 18.1

All scales are a slightly differenent from another and bathroom scales are not terribly accurate at such small weights. The Adrelaline rotors are not any heavier than stock. They are both cast iron rotors of the excact same dimensions.

Mine are wearing alot better than stock with with new Axxis Ultimates too

Thank you Gyro!! I was hoping you'd chime in on this. No longer worried.

They do look nice and higher quality than the stockers. They should be on the car this weekend!
