Exclamation Stabilizer Bar Question

So do we really need the Stabilizer bar in the trunk? and if so, does it matter if I flip it around and have the spare tire connection pointing towards the seats?...I am installing a system and do not want to put the subs in the lower part of the of the trunk, I want to put the amp in there and plexiglass over that...I want to put the subs near the seats since I use my trunk often...

the spare tire bar does connect the rear struts. the autocross guys like them, because normally a rear strut bar, if added will knock them up and out of a stock class. but because it is a factory peice, its legal
