Solution Needed - Rubbing rear bumper tab - pic inside

I've been doing some searching but not a lot of people are facing this problem of mine because not everyone is running very agressive wheel fitment.

I've got an agressive offset and tire combo out back and I'm experiencing some rubbing. I'm clear from rubbing my fenders as I've had them pulled and rolled but I'm rubbing a tab on the rear bumper when my suspension in compressed.

You can see in the picture, it's a tab on the rear bumper that attaches it to the metal body. If anyone has had this problem, can you please tell me in detail what you did to get rid of the rubbing. I absoutely hate the sound and an concerned about bending or ripping something.

I thought the picture would help because there is a lot of confusion about what part was actually rubbing the tires - too many people just yelling to roll the fender. This problem is a little bit more unique.

Is that the plastic peice? Just let it rub. I just let mine do its thing. If its metal than heat gun and rubber hammer it back...at least what I would do.

At work so cant cross reference what I see.

yup the only thing you can do is shave it down or let it rub... this is a common problem for aggressive setups

Looks like you're running really agressive too. Mind if I ask to see a picture of how much you had to grind the tab down before everything cleared?

different setups are gona need different amounts of shaving, personally I'd just let it work itself out.

This problem will not 'work itself out'. My rubber tire is losing ground to a metal tab.... I'm not talking about the black plastic liner.

I will try to get a pic later this week, since my car is on stands. But just rip that plastic **** off, and dremel off the metal part all the way down.

sorry to resurrect a old a f thread; this should help all you hellaflush idiots.

got a flat on my tire so took the opportunity to show you what we did a few months ago.

The tab that originally holds the screw mount on the frame/metal paneling needs to be notched (we used a wiz wheel w/ air compressor) then rolled out of the way or you will cut your sidewalls through guaranteed.

You can let the plastics melt themselves out or dremel them down. I cut the bumper edge back as my sidewall letters rub flat with my setup.

hope this helps someone out.
