rx8 newb with a few questions
im looking for a rx8 now that i finally have the $ for one. Always been a fan and the car handles amazing! (test drive). Im looking to build the cars suspension to ''grip'' corners (not drift) of course tires have a big part of this but i wanted to know what other starter mods will help me achieve this.
first thing that i will be getting are swift springs (best bang for the buck IMO)
anyone recomend anything else? swaybars? strut bars? i have no idea what to get first. I want an overall well balanced car. Not to much oversteer or understeer
This will be the first rwd vehicle iv own so i have alot to learn. The ca will be my daily and mabye a trip to the track 2 times a year (road course at etown)

Series 1 or 2? Used car?
I don't know about your driving experience but most people will need to upgrade their skill to take advantage of the car's stock capability. Consider some performance driving schools.
The car in stock form is an excellent compromise but once you drive it for a while you'll have some specific changes you'll want to make.
Typical changes will be wheels (light) and tires (sticky) plus sway bars, springs, adjustable shocks, etc.
Many changes are simply for fun... cosmetic like clear corners or audible like intake and exhaust.

Before you get the springs get an out of spec alignment https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-racing-25/alignment-settings-street-track-use-43308/ , best bang for the buck. Then spend your money on tires and wheels, biggest improvement. Springs and shocks may, if done right, improve the grip but the ride will deteriorate, and if you don't do it right it will grip less well. Sway bars will reduce lean and if done right (ajustable sway bars give more options) will allow for fine tuning the handling balance but probably won't significantly increase grip.
The RX8 is stock form handles and grips well, given a better set of tires and wheels it handles and grips really well. Given a fine tuning with a proper alignment and adjustable sway bars it can be dialed in to suit you and the road conditions.
