Rust on the rotor or disc of brake...HELP!!

It drives me crazy to see th 8 all shined up, wheels looking great and tires have a showroom shine...all to see the little bit of rust on the brakes. Sticks out like a sore thumb. And idea how to get rid of that ?
Thanks!!

Drive it to get it off the rotors.
If there is some elsewhere that remains, try a Mr Clean Magic eraser (works very well on rust) or if its bad, some Nevr-Dull.

Rusty brake rotors are a common issue on the 8. I had mine repainted at the dealership. You can just remove the wheels and clean/prime and paint them with some high temp paint.

I'm in the process of doing mine, taking wheels off and taking steel wool to the rotor hubs then i've got a silver caliper paint kit to repaint them with, then i'll be posting some pics

Do a search here for rusty rotors, and you'll find tons of posts on it. Dealership can paint it for you, or you can just do it yourself (probably doing mine tomorrow).

Replace the rotors with 2006 rotors... these come with the centers finished in a medium-dark grey.

How much did the new rotors cost you?

Look again. He painted the center part of the ROTOR which is where the rust is particularly noticeable on the 8.

The rusted rotor hubs drove me nuts. I painted the hubs and calipers black which really cleaned up the look of the car.
