Are the rotors and brake pads on Ebay any good?

I need to change my brake rotors and pads soon and I've been looking at those on Ebay, is it any good? I've been looking at it because I've been seeing a couple of people trying to sell the exact same ones in the forsale section. TIA

Yea. Hawks pads I was looking at. Most of the rotor on ebay doesn't have any name brand except one set called Magnum?

I guess I'm picking up the set of Hawks first.

How long do you think the rotors from Racingbrakes last? I was worried about cheap rotors warping in about a year or so. Thanks for the link BTW.

Racing Brake is not known for poor products. They make them for many other cars, Check out other boards to see waht they think. There is also alot of info on their site, more than you will find on Ebay or even an auto parts store.

Magnum rotors - GFORCE Brakes - BEWARE

I just wasted $200 on a set of 4 for my 2004 Sport Suspension 8. The holes (lugs) are about 4mm off -- at least the set I got... HUGE waste of my time.

I hate it when "you get what you pay for" proves itself.

oem rotors are some of the best you can get--try Mazparts for the gently used ones.

I'm trying to order a few parts from eBay as well.

The eBayer asking me whats the part number of Hawk's pad. So, I went to Hawk's site to look for part number and here is what I found:
HPS front - HB470F.643
HPS rear - HB378F.626

are they correct? From my understanding, the brake of 8 are different for 6MT and AT. But Hawks only got 1 type/part number for their pads to share by 6MT and AT.

Any idea whether the part number is correct for a 6MT sport suspension/sport brake?

I got some hawk ceramics on my AT... ordered them as "sports suspension" ones although i don't think it matters for the pads. I read recently the pads are exactly the same... front rotors are just a smidge different... larger diameter i think sports wise...

Here's a macro photo of what happens when you try to line up those Magnum rotors from GFORCE CROOKS with an existing wheel...

it's ongoing... awaiting a ruling from PayPal... I'm assuming that it'll go my way.

if you trying to save money, go with centric blanks:

http://www.zeckhausen.com/Mazda/RX-8.htm

they are about half the price of all other rx-8 rotors. they are just blanks, OEM-style. stoptech uses these blanks for their slotted rotors (stoptech is owned by centric).

i went with racing brake slotted, but next time i'm going with centric solid.

they have a nice price on the rotors, but the price they have listed for hawk hps pads is just crazy. i paid $110 (f&r) including shipping from a vendor.
