Axis "Phin" wheels take TPMS as most Axis wheels do (from what I have heard)
Just letting you know |
what happens if you drive it without the TPMS wheels and just let the light blink at you?
TSW Volcano wheels take the TPMS sensors. Valve stem holes on the TSWs are slightly bigger than those on the stock wheels though, so it does take some patience to get them to seat correctly... but it is possible. Details on the wheels here.

I had my tires and sensors both removed and then installed on my new rims at the mechanic. One more thing of note: Make sure they use a "soft touch" tire machine or your current and new rims will be damaged. Hope this helps! |

18" Falken Circuit Specs and the 18" Falken Torque 5s will work with the tpms
According to Wheel Autohaus, the Racing Hart CX will not take the TPMS sensors.
Here is their response to my email. "I am sorry the TPMS Sensor will not work with the Racing Hart wheel. The TPMS is sensor is part of the valve stem. So they won't fit the Racing Hart wheel." Thank you, Charles Back WheelAutoHaus I'm now looking at the Evo Lightning 18" I know I've seen other 8's with these wheels. Any TPMS issues? or did you disable the TPMS? |
Rims that take TPIs
Already a lot on this subject but another one to reassure you, i got my winter rims from Tire Rack - keeping my Blizzacks ready mounted. I thought long and hard about putting in TIPs. My Mazda dealer told me not to bother and to ignore the dash warning light. Never felt happy with that. Anyway Tire Rack assured me the rims would take the TIPs and they did no problem. Since then, 100% relaible and no issues.
Only mistake I made was having them mounted and balanced by some pillock who doesn`t know the difference between static and dynamic balancing. Make sure you get static balancing done...where the weights are the flat stick-on type which sit inside the rim. If supposed tire place tries the edge mounted clip-on weights, they need to be closed down for incompetance. Good luck Tom |
I'd be interested in any wheel discussions. Being that I just flattened my two left stock rims in a pot hole.
anyone want to make an actual list and post it as a sticky? it would be a lot better than having to read multiple pages to find which wheels take it and which dont
I second that, great idea! :D
Hey anyone out there know how to make the TPMS light in the dash to stop blinking!?! I recently changed the wheels/tires on my 8 and i heard that there was a way to disconnect the TPMS light!
This is the only one that I've seen.

Does anyone know if the TPMS will work with Volk Racing GT-AV wheels?
I just put the sensors into my Volk Progressiv Spokes today at the local America's Tire Co. I think most wheels do take it.
What about the volk GT-V. will those work?
I have TSW Thruxton for sale 19x8 I have two of them.. I saleing them because I just bought wider ones 19x9.5... Im saleing both of them for $300.00 great deal they work with (TPMS) if you want to see pic of them go to the rx-8 west and go to the (malibu meet) go to the third or fourth page I have the Tit. I got a set of DIP 18x7.5 wheels that work just fine with the sensors. Matter of fact when it got cold last wek the dash light came on. Had to put a little air in the left front tire. Soon as I did it went off .
How about these?
Will these Enkei's take the TPMS:
GF1's or SC03's I'm into the old skool fins.. |
G-Games 99B Takes Them
TPMS is really an idiot light you know. It is always best to check the pressure with a real gauge. I'm doing away with the sensors on my Summer setup, but will leave them on my Winter setup.
18 X 7.5 Enkei MM2 takes them
Kazera KZ-S
1 Attachment(s)
They work with these. I have them in 19X8.5 on mine, and the TMPS worked within a 10 minute ride.

For those of you who have swapped to new wheels, did the tire shop charge extra to re-install the TPMS modules onto the new wheels ? (i.e. in addition to the standard mount+balance charges)
also, I'm assuming that the TPMS modules *are* transerrable from the OEM wheel? (dont' have to buy new ones for new wheels) TIA |
No they didnt charge me extra to put them in the new wheels. And, Yes the TPMS are transferrable to a wheel that will take it.
I'm guessing it depends on the tire shop that does the install. If you have connections then I doubt they will charge you more. If you don't then they may..or may not.
19" Konig Next
I've been thinking about 19" Konig Next wheels,
Anyone know if they work with the TPMS? |

Well that clears it up then :cwm27: :hahano: |
do tpms have to be installed before the tire is mounted?

What about Work Emotion CR rims?
anyone know if Buddy Club P1 Racing 2 plus works?
19" Konig NEXT
they work just fine
I'm sure this has been asked by someone before but I can't find an answer. What exactly makes a rim able to accept the TPMS? A flat spot? Some kind of indention on the inside of the rim? What about a certain wheel makes them not compatiable?
