Rear rim size
From other threads, I heard that the stock rims are 18 x 8.0
Is that for front and rear?
Cuz Im going to get new rims, and they told me that I need 18 x 9.0 for the rear to match the stock offset.

If you have no intention of going to wider than 225 tires, why bother.
You're just adding extra mass.
BTW- a 8" wide wheel will take a 245

My questimate is that the rear wheel well will take a 9.5" at 50mm offset.
I have a set of 9.5" 44mm on my current car and I will see if they fit on my RX-8 when it finally comes in.
But if you are keeping the power stock and don't want to get new tires, than I see no reason to go with wider rims.
