Read this if you are choosing aftermarket Rims
Since I've been looking into purchasing aftermarket rims...
I wanted to find a gallery of rims with the rims on the cars and with the different car/rim selections next to each other. However, I couldn't find anything like that on the net.
So I took the liberty of creating 2 images for you to help with your decision making. I only compared 22 different rims, since my time is slightly valuable -_- ... But there are a good variety of rim types to help you on your way. It sure helped me.
** I took different configurations from tirerack.com with our rx8 2004 selection and print screened and cropped the images **

The P1s do look good on the Rx8 though...

I bet it does...thought you already sold those, Hedge?? FWIW, the 255/40-17 will be a bit short in overall diameter for the Rx8. The Rx8's stock overall tire diameter is ~26 inches, so you''ll need to switch to 255/45-17 (Mustang/Camaro/Corvette) tire sizes LOL The P1s do look good on the Rx8 though...

Although, I think the P1 II's look better on the blue.
Gordon,
How much do the Konigs weigh? i know they are smaller than the OEM size, but i am just curious. I am wondering if the Heliums that Brian Goodwin carries are the only "light" wheel they have. i remember Brian taking the Greenlights (by Konig) off his site because they were heavier than advertised.
take care

The 17" Holes wheels are advertised at 17.1 lbs, which is decent (for a 17" wheel). They are advertised as lightweight by Konig as well, and it seems they are. I weighed the OEM 18" wheel/tire combo at 41.2 lbs apiece, and the 17" Holes/Toyo Garit HT wheel/tire combo at 35.2 lbs - a whopping 6 lbs per corner unsprung weight reduction!! Imagine knocking 6 lbs per corner from a Miata!
mikeb, the tires are size 215/55-17, and are about 1/2" taller diameter than the OEM 18" tires! The taller sidewall might be deceiving

Gordon
