questions about wheel width?

is anyone running 18 by 10 wheels, and are there any negative affects that you notice from running the wider wheel such as rubbing or slowness to turn-in-out. Im looking to find a wider wheel for better lateral grip but also want it to be as light as the stockers .......lighter if possible ........any help info is appreciated

Sorry I don't have an answere to your question, but I also wanted to know. I would like to step up a couple of tire sizes to 245/40 18's and keep the stock rims.

Surely someone has don't that already but the search engine here hasn't helped me. Please help.

remember.... the "offset" is another important deciding factor for having 10" wide wheels
