Question for a tire expert

Will a 245/40/18 or 255/40/18 tire fit on a 18 x 9 wheel? I have been told by tire shops that the OEM Dunlops were a little too small for the stock 18" wheels, so I guess the tires can be made to fit to a certain point. Thanks

i think 245 is really pushing it; thats a bigger width difference than the 225's on the stock 8 inch wide wheel. 255 should be ok.

on a 9" wide wheel, yes most will work. but you can got to tirerack.com and look up the specs and be sure......

after that you can but the tires from them and save lots of bucks.
