Wsup people...*


Im actually in the process of spraying my stock rims black. As i am typing it is drying right next to me lol. but newaiz i ran in to a lil problem while i was spraying, it seems like im getting little spec of dots in a few places and the other rest of the area is pretty okay~... what would cause these little dots to form....??? i cleaned the rims with soap and water also. Shoiuld i have porimed it first or not even...... maybe sand it down with a nice smooth sand paper..??? need some adivice.

spray paint? the nozzle wasn't fine enough and you had some larger droplets than others.

^ i dont think thats it because i sprayed directly on the lil dots[and what i mean by dots is; u can see the original alloy..] and it just runsoff and wont stick on that lil' spot... hmmm...

probably something in the original paint, you should sand it or at least claybar.

^^ werddd..... claybar, i forgot about that, hmm i gott another extra spare cracked rim to practice on before i start the real stuff... but heres some pics of it, couldnt take a pic of the spots since my camera fone isnt that great but i will take pics of it tomrow with a real cam.

the little spots are definitely from either not being clean (use alcohol final wash) and from not using the right paint for the application. If your using generic spray paint, scuff the surface lightly with say, 600 grit sand paper. Good luck!

^^ using the Rust-oleum High Performance Enamel Gloss Black. Pretty heavy spray and dude that thing is amazingly* good~~~

I got 2 more rims with the same exact pattern smash/crack. oem too.. lol its from drifitng. but no more worries now~

and i used the cracked rims as a sacrificial lamb.

Your having a silicon reaction. The little dot is called "Fish-Eye". Either you have a little bit of tire dressing on your rim, or some wax or oil. If you have some "WAX & GREASE " remover use that. Alcohol or just some Windex works.
Make sure they are clean and dry.
If you sand it I would cover it with primer and sand that with some 400 and then paint it.
Your best bet is just blast it with paint. Because it will chip soon enough and you'll have to touch them up anyway.

^^ will do. but luckily these are sacrificial limbs im practicing with right now so these tips are very very helpful when i start on the real shyt~~~ =]
