hey i was a victim of robbery they stoled my rims and left my car on cynder blockes..im so frustrated right now and dont know what to do...i cant get it towed because it sits on rotors...please is there any steel rims that would work on the rx8 just to get it home...please help asap or opinions on the situation cause the property owner going to tow my car away somewhere......thank ahead for advice jose

RX-8's use a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern, many Fords, Mazda's, Nissan's use this bolt pattern. But the center bore of the wheel used needs to be larger than 67.1 and it you have a 6 speed manual or any automatic with sport brakes you will need a 17" or larger wheel and even then some won't clear the brake calipers.

 

wow i have the automatic with sport brakes and i called insurance they going to work with me but it takes time..i just want the car to the crib....what about spacers i have some of those will that help or im out of luck awww man this suckssssss

 

Spacers will help, get some Mustangs wheels or wheel off of a Nissan Maxima, Mitsubishi EVO, Some Toyotas, etc. But the Insurance should be able to get it done quickly. If you were local I would let you borrow a set of stock rims. Try contacting the Miami guys, maybe PM angeljoelv, he might be able to help.

Yep, they should be all over the place. But it will be hard to eyeball a set of rims that will fit. It would suck to get a set and have them not fit.

What kind of rims did you have?

 

where are you located exactly? that would help a lot.
Mazda 3 rims sell pretty cheap and will bolt right on.

next time mark your rims in a very weird and hard to be seen area, incase you find it for sale later on you can look in that location and call the Po-Po's. just make sure you document it with photograph with a time stamp on it. Thats what im doing when i get a set of rims.

or invent some kind of cover that slips on over your rims so it looks like a cheap plastic hubcap for parking in super ghetto locales.

rule 1 in parking a rx8: never street park(tappers suck)
rule 2 in parking a rx8: always park in a lot
rule 3 in parking a rx8: always park in the corner
rule 4 in parking a rx8 when a corner spot does not exist: park next to 2 expensive cars.
rule 5 in parking a rx8: never park next to minivans and suv's (kids...groceries... shopping carts...)
rule 6 in parking a rx8: always park on the top of the hill on a parking lot(think about the pitch, kind of like in golf, see where the shopping carts would roll to and park on the very top where carts wont be able to roll to)
rule 7 in parking a rx8: avoid parking near highschools(new drivers suck/ are retarded)
rule 8 in parking a rx8: try to park in the most well light area if parking at night, better if the view is unobstructed from passer-byers
rule 9 in parking a rx8: if the above spot does not exist, then just go home. its not worth the damage/theft. (id rather eat tuna and have a nice car, than eat out and have my wheels stolen, car keyed, dinged, paint chipped,broken into etc etc etc)
