I highly doubt its a replica. Not only for the reasons posted above, but if you have the money for Volk GT-Vs then you aren't going to cheap out on a replica.

The rear and side are replica's. The slots in the rear are not OE, it's from a polyrethane kit I almost bought. The sides go up in the front and the rear, MS sides only go up in the rear. Most likely if he bought the side's and rear, he got the front as a replica too.

Maybe heran out of money after the Volks and could only afford the replica but with a really good paint job

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. The front may be authentic since he has the black center piece. The rear I believe is made by VIS. Compare the real Mazdaspeed sides to these and you will notice how the front doesn't go up like these.

I got the car about a month ago. The guy whose lease I took over said it was MazdaSpeed. Since then I researched and found out the rear bumper is Infini Flared. As somebody mentioned, the sides are not real MS either because the front section goes up a bit. The Infini sideskirts are also flared and they stick out from the body a lot, same for the front bumper which has flared wheelarches and this creates a crease in the body which mine doesn't have.
I didn't pick up on these details when I got the car, I only saw the MS RX8 pictures online so it looked like a real MS kit. I wasn't trying to fool anybody, that's just what I believed. In my eyes it still looks great. The previous owner had chrome accents all over which I took off, and winters on the stock rims so that's why I got the Volks. Better pics coming over the weekend.

Thank you...it's weird...because they are Chromium black, they reflect it's environment too well.....sometimes the rears look much darker than the fronts because they are recessed so far in.
