PIC of my new brake job.

Wanting to deal with the rusty rotor hub issue, I thought I'd go the distance and dress up my brakes altogether... So, the rotors are by Disc Italia. Got them from Brakeworld.com. Drilled and slotted...designed to fit the stock calipers. Hubs come with black baked-on hi-temp enamel... Used the DupliColor caliper paint kit on the calipers. Thought silver would go best with my Titanium.

Looks good--of course drilled/slotted don't really have any performance benefit--but they look real good though. Nice work.

Yeah, you're right. And my bad too, 'cause i'm always complaining about how usless a spoiler on the back is.. made sure my car didn't have one. But now look at me! Super cooled brakes that never got hot in the first place. But they sure look cool, huh? :p

Here's some outdoor pictures just after my test drive.

Looks really good man. Did you install them yourself? Performance wise, it made a little bit of difference. The rotational mass went down a little bit. :p

Wow. Those are some clean looking rotors. Nice color choice on the calipers.

Yes . Took 9 hours. Had to gather a few tools I didn't have: jack-stands and hydraulic jack, breaker-bar, torque rench, caliper compresser.. also needed 12mm, 14mm, 17mm and 21mm sockets.

~$700 for all four rotors (brakeworld.com). Buy the Duplicolor caliper paint kit at Advance Auto Parts... prices on the Internet are around $19 but Advance sold it to me for only $8.99.

I'd get these even if it provides zero performance gains, just so that I won't be seeing rusty rotors near the hub anymore. There is a little bit of 'bling' factor as well. :p

are you talking about on the 8 or in general? because in general, they do offer performance benifits.

^only for gas disipation and a lill heat b/c there is less material to cause friction (so less heat but longer stoping distances). some people say they are good at getting the rotor dry when going through water...but and disc brake is pretty good at that. jus tb/c the pad is so close to teh rotor to begin ith it'll get rid of the water..also teh cintrifical force will knock the water off...then you have teh heat from braking which will dry them. so they really don't do much in the way of heling with water.

so really only gas fade........and that's all i can think of off the top of my head...:D

I'd like to get some of those when it comes time to replace my stock rotors. I think I am going to have mine cryo frozen before I put them on. It's cheap, and I have heard that you can only resurface those kinds of rotors very little.
