I'm happy with the stock ones... lightweight and look good.

Besides that Photoshop looks way too 'slammed' for my taste. The rims you chose look pretty decent, I'd just stick to the 18" flavour.

My $.02.

Nice choice Efini, very sharp looking. One of the only photochop post's I've seen here that aren't riced out IMHO.

That was the first thing I noticed as well. Make sure you have enough room for the offset your rim choice suggests.

Good looking!

The final design of the wheels was a disappointment to some of the RX-8 designers housed in Irvine. The though it dodn't look like a RWD car enough. What this means is the rims for the North American Spec RX-8 should look like they were made for a RWD Car.

Also, in RX_7 Magazine #18 (Shameless Plug) There are sketches of other body kits with different rims in the "RX-8 Magazine" section.

appreciate the comments. Do not worry when I fabricate my kit - if I decide to do widebody then I will get the proper sizes for my deep dish wheels. As soon as my 8 comes in I can begin work!

I also like the silver to bring out the black center. I like the color. They are not jet black, but more gunmetal. Very nice.

Efini,

Those are sharp! I like the gunmetal color. If I was getting the titanium, I would give these a serious look.

I don't quite get what you mean by this... how could they change the rims to make them more "RWD" looking?

This pic is not photoshopped, but it's the real deal. I found this pic from a Japan website. An RX-8 with deep dish....

Wow, the factory "polished" rims look really nice. How much more do they weigh over the standard stock rims? Anybody, bueller, bueller?

Also, is that a lower profile (height) tire?

Check some past threads which show the pressure monitoring system inside the rim. I wouldn't want to toss this away but on the same note don't know much about it's operation. Not sure if you replace with larger rims that the calculation gets thrown off, etc.. May need to have your new rims installed at the dealer so that they can transfer and properly "turn" the wireless monitor.

pressure system is in the valve stems in the tire, be sure to remove them and put them into the new tires if u upgrade your rims

Aftermarket Rims?

Hi all,

If you are thinking of getting aftermarket rims, please let me know. I'd like to buy your stock set. Please e-mail jjagonase@milner.com for your selling price.

Thanks,
Jason

staggered front/rear wheels with a low offset in the rear. Unfortunately, this would lead to more understeer than the car already has. Function won over form. Yay.
