ok so tomorrow im painting my stock 18's Gold. I have the metallic blue lugnuts from discount auto that i plan on spraying with some clear jus to give me some play bc you have to be very easy with them or they will scratch..i own a winning blue rx...i need some opinions on this setup..im gonna try to take a pic of the paint.

Just paint them, it's only paint, if you don't like it paint it a different color. I'm seriously thinking about powdercoating mine

i don't think gold would look very good on WB. maybe a darker silver color like gunmetal. aftermarket gold wheels would look a lot better.

Paint looks good because it's fresh. I hope there were proper preparations to ensure that the paint stays that way..

As for the color, I was thinking more of a gold color when you said gold. This looks like a metallic burnt sienna.. Maybe your camera isn't capturing the brightness of the color?

To me, this is gold:

Not bad... I'm glad to see the paint has a hue of bronze in it... sort of STi rally car colors.

Put in some new springs or coilovers to lower your 8 and it'll look more killer.

Good job on the paint.

To me, this is gold:

The color code and name states that this is a gold so i said gold but i see what your saying..and this was done by a pro..we scuffed it clean it blah blah...yes it was done right and the reason it looks good is bc it was sprayed professinally and theres a couple coats of clear

hmm, not bad. having a pro do it is the way to go. you should slam your car and then i think it'd be alright.

THANX I APPRECIATE THE REPSONSES...I FIGURE AFTER ALL THIS TURNED OUT MUCH WORTH IT...$100 FOR PAINT COMPAIRED TO $1000+ FOR RIMS...SO ITS GOOD FOR ME NOW...AND I JUST GOT THE CAR LESS THAN A MONTH AGO..SO LOWERING SPRINGS SHOULD COME SOON AND EXHAUST IS ON THE WAY AS I TYPE

I like it! But I agree about springs and shocks dropping your car.

Should have painted the center cap separately. Also the wheel weights are going to leave a mark the next time you get the wheels balanced.

yea i thought about that but like the rest of the back of the wheel it will eventually turn black im guessing...and i thought about taping the valve stems but they were already painted silver so i scuffed them up and sprayed em...im gettin different caps so that didnt bother me much ...but yea i get what your sayin..i was thinkin the same thing while doin them
