Not sure what to do now?

Not sure what forum this should go in..but I thought I would post here and see what everyone else would do. I don't want to post a negative in bad guys/good guys until I get a response from slow_2ed_gen.

I bought a rim from slow_2ed_gen in this for sale thread (https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=95744). It was advertised as PERFECT.

It arrived on thursday as promised. I went to a professional tire installer this morning and before they put it on my car they tested it on some spinner thing, they showed me that the rim is bent slightly and that it spins slightly like an oval and will cause a bouncing sensation when I drive it.

I paid $135 USD for it from slow_2ed_gen and now I don't know what to do. I bought it to replace my curb rashed rim. So I had to put my curb rashed rim back on and now I'm stuck with this extra bent rim.

What do I do now? Should slow_2ed_gen take it back and refund me the money? I don't want to have to ship it off to a wheel doctor place to fix it.. that will cost just as much as the one I bought!

Please help. I sent an e-mail to slow_2ed_gen when I came back from the tire place, but no response yet. I see he talks alot on rx7club.com ... I just want to get this corrected. What should he and I do?

Bummer! I hate it for you. I geuss it goes back to "buyer beware". I would be leary of buying anything from someone sight unseen because you don't know what kind of driving habits they have. Hell, I have buddies that I would not buy something like that from becouse I see how they drive. He may not have even realized there was a problem though.

I hope that slow_2ed_gen stands by his word and makes good with you.

it doesn't really have much to do with driving habits, does it?

sorry you're in this predicament, sir...
