New wheels: Pre careHell

Hello,

I have a new set of wheels coming in the next week. They are machined foreground with black background.

Is there anything I should coat these with prior to putting on the car? Anything that will help preserve the finish?

Take care,

Brian

to preserve the finish you should clean and wax them regularly

the machined part will actually have a clearcoat already on it. as mentioned already you can wax them. DO NOT use metal polish on them or it will take that clearcoat off and the metal might start to rust. after that the clearcoat will just start flaking off.

Thanks, I will make sure to wax them prior to putting on the car. I use Mother's, hope that will work nicely.

Just an aside, I ordered the wheels early yesterday. It was processed and UPS picked up same day. Today it states scheduled for delivery.....nice . Might get them on prior to a meet this weekend.

Also great customer service, prompt e-mail follow up on pre-sales questions. Plus bonus points awarded for the "noob" questions on my part.

Take care,

Brian
