I like these, it gives you a chance to alter the look of your car without having to buy another set of wheels, and with 3 inserts (red, chrome, carbon fiber) it gives you 4 different looks. The red insert is growing on me for some reason, I'm seriously considering getting these.

Those actually look pretty good with no inserts, I've always liked the twin 5-spoke look.

Definately an eye catcher.

I bet they look much better in person.

Funny how wheels look on the net vs in person.

Well I was happy to see some less negative response.
I did look at the Koonig version of these wheels and I think these look much better.
They look much nicer in real life then the pictures.
I will be trying the No-Insert look and the Carbon fiber inserts later but decided to leave the red in for a while.
I'll post some pictures when I change inserts.
The red are somewhat more flashy then without inserts or the CF and eventually I will probably go that way but for now I'm happy the way they are.
The rivets as everyone calls them don't add a lot however I saw several very expensive wheel at tire rack with rivets.
As for reddeming myself I'm not so sure that I am the one in this post who needs redeeming LOL

Those expensive wheels with rivets are most likely because they are multi-piece wheels and those rivets are functional in holding the wheel face to the wheel barrel.

Yeah its pseudo rare but available here... I was looking into them at one point, original, and reasonably reliable. A lot of the parts are shared with anotehr isuzu SUV, dropped my mind right now which, so parts shouldn't be TOO bad...

im no way a fan of gimmicky wheels, but these arent totally bad. Maybe the red is just too much on the wheels, but they are not bad looking with the carbon inserts.

I think they are great.

Plenty of 8's with rivets have been pictured on this board with rivets and I've never seen a negative comment, so why start now?

The inserts aren't my style, but at least they don't look like crap. And I've seen people spend big $$$$$$$ on crappy wheels or body mods or colorize their wheels some cheap and ugly way, so this is nothing.

The inserts are removeable so basically it is like two wheels for the price of one, and they are kick *** to begin with.

Nice.

Yeah it was built by Isuzu as more of an eye catcher to simply get people into the showrooms. It was basically a concept car they decided to make 4,000 of on a limited production run, much like the Prowler. The plastic body panels were made in molds that would only produce around 4,000 units so they knew from the get go that it would be very limited production. It shares a lot of parts with the Isuzu Trooper. They were only available in the US from 1999 to 2001. People still stare and ask me when it is coming out, lol. Very unique vehicle that gets more stares than any car I have even been in. It is more capable off road than most Jeep Wranglers, has 4 wheel drive all the time, Recaro racing seats and leather all around. There were no options, just loaded from the get go.

I don't know Howard, you asked for opinions. So what you meant to say was, "Feedback welcome..... but only if it's positive"?? Cars are a VERY subjective item and you went pretty "out there" with your choice. Good for you, in your subjective opinion, it was a good move! Stand by that and don't be offended if people disagree when you ask for their input. If some people don't like it, that's not your fault but it's not their fault either. /end sermon

Expensive doesn't always equal good taste! Case in point, take a look at this and read the comments people post:

http://most-expensive.net/mp3-player-world

Haha, woops, while on that site I just noticed a much more relevant example:

Too funny. These $1,000,000 rims come with a free Bentley Continental GT as a manufacturer's rebate!

Personally, the rivets are what loses me on your rims. On the other hand, I can dig the inserts and overall look. Last year the stock rims (at the dealer here anyway) were some kinda new design with rivets. Ouch! I was so thankful I got mine in 2005... agreed, the stocks can look a little "Mattel plasticy" as you call it. Thankfully the ones on mine have the bright finish alloy which makes them look quite solidly metallic. At night time they positively glow sitting in dark parking lot.

Even still, when I got new rims for my winter tires I have to admit a change from stock, even bright finish alloy stock, is nice.

But to each, their own. Maybe rivets are the new "thang". Even the most expensive rims in the world pictured above have them!
