im just most worried about the offset... ive got alot email replied back from sellers saying that the rx8 has a high offset... just making sure 35mm offset will work in the rear with 19x9.5s ?

Pretty sure the offset will be an issue in the rear

if you are lowered, you will rub the rear. will need an aggressive fender shave or fender roll. i have a +36 on the rear and i rub slightly when going up slopes at an angle. and i have a fender shave too (not too aggressive).

From my extensive experience this is where you would need to be:

Stock fenders:
19x8.5 +35 is about as low an offset as you want to go
19x9.5 +45 is about the lowest I'd suggest

These are for tire sizes 245/35/19 and 275/30/19

I am running a 10 +45 which is like a 9.5 +40 from a front spacing aspect, and I had rubbing issues. I rolled about 4mm of the rear fender lip and have no probs now.

I'm blowing out some Volk GT-V wheels in Mercury silver. not sure if that's your budget. They are in the 1900 to 2kish range. Just at the border of that depending on whether or not you want centercaps etc....

Man, I'd love to see some pics (side and rear) of that set-up! Any chance?
