i need new front brake rotors, ive nearly gone through my stock ones apparently...any suggestions replacing stock costs $178 a pop so aftermarket sounds good to me.

You have two options one piece or two piece. I assume you want one piece at those prices.

Racingbrake
Powerslot

are both good options.

How many times have you had them resurfaced? Mine warped within 15,000 miles and the dealer resurfaced them for me as part of the squeaking brakes TSB. Now they're doing it again and I'm only at 23k.

EDIT: Not to steal your thread, but how much does resurfacing usually cost?

Question. My car has 28k miles on it and the rotors are definitely warped slightly and there is a slight pulsation of the brake pedal and vibration of the steering wheel. Does anyone think that the dealer would do anything about this?

edit: Well, either I go get them resurfaced then and then wait until they warp again or get some new rotors......I might go with the rotors.

Take them off, use some 200 grit sandpaper on both sides, reinstall.

9 out of 10 times, the 'warping' goes away.

Pad deposits creating a "sticky" spot.

Vivid Racing for rotors or go to Autozone or your local parts store.

The dealer should replace your rotors for free as a warranty service.

Just wanted to update this thread and let everyone know that I just took my car in to get the winter tires mounted and asked them to check the rotors. They called me back 2 hours later and said that they were too thin to cut again so they ordered me new rotors that will be here next week. They're under warranty ($218). Thank God. I'm at 23k miles and if I had to buy new rotors I would raise hell.

Within 3 weeks my car will have been in the shop 3 times:
-PCM recall
-2 new taillights because of condensation
-2 new front rotors

With all of these new parts I wonder if I can classify my car as a 2004 and 2006? I love this car but it's time to move on...

How long should the rotors be covered under warranty?

Mines at the dealer today for pads and turn the rotors, and they said it will be about $450-500. I've got 32k mi.

I thought it was a bit steep. What should I be paying for this at a dealer?

Alright, here's an update on my warped rotor issue.

I brought the car to the dealer yesterday and told them about the brake pedal pulsating when applying pressure. They said that they would take a look at it and see if they could do anything for me.

They said that they were slightly warped...obviously. They decided to machine them. I grudgingly say alright and see what happens.

I get the car at the end of the day and head towards the highway so i can test the brakes out. Once on the highway I accelerate to 70 and start applying a small amount of pressure on the brake pedal.....and when i mean small i mean SMALL.

The brake pedal start pulsating even more than before and I'm livid. I try calling the service center to tell them that they f#$ked up the job and i want them to fix it properly. Luckily for them, they had already left and closed for the day.

Anyways, i get back home to try and figure out what the hell they did wrong and my first thought was that they didn't torque down the lug nuts properly.

I check the torque on the lug nuts and the numbers are all over the place ranging from 80 ft/lbs to 45 ft/lbs!!! Two of the lug nuts on my left front wheel were at 45!!!!! WTF Is WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I torqued them back down to proper spec and took the car for a ride and the brakes are a little worse then they were before they resurfaced them.

I'm going to call them right now and talk to service manager and see if we can work something out since i don't want my rotors resurfaced again just to shorten the life of the rotors even more.

Any suggestions?
