Just came back from Bend Or :).. I am going with the 45 because my 8 is already lowered.. If i stick the 40 on it Ill bottom out on my Driveway.. But I do agree.. Mostly I am after a bit wider tire.. |
If your car is going up your driveway with stock size tires then you'll be fine with 245/40/18 or get a 255/40/18.
245/45/18 is a really tall tire and it might hit your fender when turning depending on your ride height. Keep in mind that the middle number is a ration/percentage of the tire's width. i.e. sidewall on a 225/45/18 ~ 245/40/18 sidewall. I also wanted to mention that PF01 in 18x9 +35 or +45 would be a great setup for the size tire you're running also. In fact I just did one the other day.
