My problem with Bronze is that i don't like how dark on dark looks on rx8's. Bright on bright is ok. Like for me, if the color of the car is Dark, the color of the rims has to be Bright. Like White on Bronze and Blue on Bronze looks good. Like dark on dark 8s look ok but i just really haven't seen one that i actually say, " Whoa that 8 is sick" unless is like a professionally done 8. but hey, That's just my opinion.

Any of thise rims that i mention here are nice. I like and wouldn't think about it twice to use any of this rims for my car. As long as they are the right size. Is any of this rims around my price range?

If you search FS threads on evolutionm, zilvia.net, my350z, etc., used sets of these volks come up every now and then which would fit in your budget. The Axis' are $300 ea, the HRE's are out of the question lol, just wanted to see if you like mesh.

Also I suggest just searching the usual wheel sites WheelsNext, WheelDude, 1010Tires etc. for wheels that you could potentially powdercoat but that are a lot cheaper to buy brand new

 

Do you know if those Axis come in 19"??.

The 19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +35 would look pretty good staggered, the only thing that sucks is the weight. Those are about 7lbs heavier than the stock rim

ok ya, I heard from Kane here in the forums and he let mw know the type of wheels he has, which I love. They are SSR D5R 19 by 8.5 in the front and 19 by 9.5 in the rear. Now the question is.....where the hell do I find this wheels. I can't find them nowhere online and the 1 place where they come up it says that they don't carry that brand any more. So does anyone know where I could get this wheels?

They are discontinued... and out of your price range.

 

Sorry to burst any bubbles but Mackin recently raised prices on Volks, Gram Lights, and other Ray's wheels. My very good friend is a distributor. $1800 is about right for a used set of perfect condition 18's. Last I checked CE28's 19s were about $850 each and thats on sale price.

 

I guess i will have to wait another 2 month to buy the Volks SF. Jebus..... 2 months. I guess it will be worth it though. Mean while im going to get started on the rest of the visuals and performance.

By the way guys, do any of you guys know where i could get a pair or nice eyelids for my 8 already painted?? cux i don't want to put no carbon fiber looking one. It needs to be the same color as my car "NG". Or maybe even just plain white so i could paint them, that is if i could find a spray paint the same color as my car.

Also, what does NG stand for??

I just got a killer deal on a set of 18x9.5 AME FS-01 in Hyper Black for $1299 shipped.

They do have a bronze one if you're willing to settle. Great JDM brand for what bargain wheels are going for right now.
