My Final 2 Wheel Choices -- Feedback Please

After mucho deliberation -- I have narrowed my search for the next American Wheel Idol down to 2 -- what do you think.

Remember -- Ti 8 with MazdaSpeed body kit -- lowered 2.5 inches. Wheels will be 19" staggered.

Volk GT-V in Ray's Metal Coat-- New for 2005 -- sources say that this is the hot wheel for 2005.

Advan T6 Bright Chrome -- cored cavity  weighs 19 lbs.

The second set...that's what I prefer. :) If they were black, I'd buy them for my car :)

czr 03-25-2005 02:27 PM

Second set. Looks better and as a bonus.. easier to clean. Both sawweet.

dankgummy 03-25-2005 02:29 PM

i'd take what is behind door #1 unless it is much heavier than 19 lbs. i really like the look of that wheel, even if it looks blingy..

smrx8 03-25-2005 02:40 PM

wow 2 choice i dont think anyone has them yet on there 8

smrx8 03-25-2005 02:53 PM

Husker Rotary how much are the second wheels ???? i been trying to decide on wheels and cant make up my mind. my other choice were the racing hart cx decisions decsions

MELRX8 03-25-2005 02:53 PM

Advan T6 Bright Chrome!

RXhusker 03-25-2005 03:03 PM

The price of the Advans is classified information ;)

Seriously guys -- the cost is almost obscene -- cover your eyes .....

$3300 -- wheels only  -- OK take a deep breath.

These shoes are rare and the technology is top of the line. The bright chrome adds $125 per wheel so the other finishes are less. I don't care for dark wheels (I know it is the current style) and my wife fell in love with the 20" FOOSE full chrome bling wheels my car had in the WoW show. WoW wheels

Way too heavy -- these performance metal coat wheels have the look of chrome but no weight.

p.s. -- the Rays are $2700 ($2100 without RMC finish) and weight approx. 25 lbs.

smrx8 03-25-2005 03:06 PM

yikes i think ill stay with the racing hart cx 2400 with no wheels
thanks for a easy decision

I had the CX (mulit piece) on my list for a long time -- awesome looking wheel (especially with Sunlight silver IMO) Then I saw several ricer Honda's sporting them around town :( I want something I'm not going to see all the time -- uniqueness is worth $$ for me. That is my one concern with the Volk's -- getting very common. I actually was enquiring about the PIAA Super Rozza's when the GT-V's were brought to my attention (cheaper, similar design, forged, etc.).

I would vote for number 2. The first wheels are too beefy. The cost of number two will make it "unique" enough to keep if off the ricer list. That is, until the knock-offs come around. Rim 2 is a nice look.

RXhusker 03-25-2005 03:37 PM

When the knock-offs are able to make hollow core rims -- we should all buy them.

You can stick your finger inside the spokes of these Advans

mikeyr 03-25-2005 03:40 PM

That's a heck of a lot of peso's but #2 has it by a mile!

Cam 03-25-2005 04:00 PM

#2- Advan T6 fo' sure.

Which retailer sells these?

Vick at Wheel Options (importhookup.com) carries them -- I am most likely going to get my final choice locally from the dealer who displayed my 8 with the FOOSE wheels -- still trying to work a better deal.

You have probably guessed that the Advan's have been my top choice -- the Volk's are just the more cost effective second choice (though hardly cheap).

goforwand 03-25-2005 08:59 PM

Advan's...without a question!

How long is the wait?

mikeb 03-26-2005 03:02 AM

I saw number two

cgrx 03-26-2005 03:05 AM

I say #1
#2 is very close - almost a tie

Jumping Jahosefats Batman! That 3300 could be a turbo kit! ;) The second wheels look hot, wish I could afford em.

Kwullen 03-26-2005 11:56 AM

# 2 if you lose the chrome...............................

kellybrf 03-26-2005 04:40 PM

i dont like the chrome, but #2 is far superior to #1 no matter what the color.

what body kit is that?

I already have the turbo kit :D These are just to finish the look.

BTW -- the Advan pic is the FEED RX-8 body kit I think.

DSlaughter6 03-26-2005 07:56 PM

I'll take the Lip on #1 with the 'spokes' on #2. Solved.

joyridevr6 03-26-2005 08:21 PM

I vote for GT-V in black.
